
Facebook, which has seen its share prices fall since it went public in May, has disclosed that its user base may contain as many as 83 million illegitimate accounts. Facebook made the disclosures in its 10-Q form, filed with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission on July 31. The revelation "will cast further doubt on the company at a time when there's a good deal of negative coverage," said Greg Sterling, senior analyst at Opus Research.
