Clear out the gutters on your Internet pipes, technology fans. Gadget Lab is now operating at full strength with the addition of Mat Honan as our new senior writer.

Honan leaves a senior reporter position at Gizmodo, and before that he was a contributing editor to Wired magazine. He’s the co-founder of the Knight-Batten award-winning Longshot magazine, and his 2009 Wired cover story on living as a human node in a location-aware world was awarded the Best Innovation Journalism Story of the Year from Stanford University.

Honan completes a Gadget Lab reporting team that’s been adding talent since the beginning of the year. Roberto Baldwin, formerly of Gizmodo, joined this February. Alexandra Chang left Macworld for Wired in early April, and in late April, we picked off Nathan Olivarez-Giles from his gig as the main tech blogger for the Los Angeles Times.

I (Jon Phillips) joined Wired in October 2011. Before that I was the editorial director of Maximum PC and Mac|Life. Christina Bonnington is Gadget Lab’s longest-serving reporter. She hails from Gizmodo, and joined Wired in June 2011.

Welcome, Mat! Welcome, everyone! If you’d like to track our Gadget Lab exploits on Twitter, follow @gadgetlab. And make sure to visit the Gadget Lab landing page every day for Wired’s unique take on personal technology.
