Cabler Cox Communications joined in on the live TV streaming to iPad craze by releasing its own Cox TV Connect app late last year, and recently updated it to version 1.1.0. With the upgrade comes the new look shown above, so while it originally featured a more... unique look for TV listings (as seen after the break) this version has programming sorted in the traditional grid-style guide shown above. Also mentioned is the ability for users to view and sort TV listings for all channels, although they'll still need the separate Cox Mobile Connect apps for things like DVR scheduling. I think this shows you where Cox has their priorities at. It’s in making sure you have information in a mainstream fashion, and I bet it even matches the receiver in the house. I would think it would be better if they focused on adding more channels to the 37 live streaming channels, and let it out of the house. I never have time to waste with streaming apps that only work in the house; since I’m never there it would never get used. Between school and working nights at Dish I am going from morning from night. I can however use my sling adapter to stream all of live channels and recorded shows to my mobile device no matter where I am, so even if I only have an hour in between class, I can stay caught up on all my favorite shows.
