Leaked Part Numbers Support WWDC Mac Update Rumors

A leaked parts list for Apple products to go on sale in Australia suggests that Apple may not be pussyfooting around with hardware announcements at WWDC.

The list includes numbers for 27 different Apple products, and 14 of them look to be new Mac computers, AppleInsider reports. Currently, Apple has 20 different product options across all of its Mac lines (not including custom, made-to-order options). The leaked image shows these products are headed to stores in Australia, and could be available for a launch sometime next week — ostensibly in support of Apple’s WWDC announcements.

Apple reportedly turns over its entire inventory every five days, so if products are beginning to be shipped to Apple Stores now, they’re not going to be sitting in any back store rooms for long.

It wouldn’t be surprising if Apple updated its MacBook Pros and Airs with Intel’s newly released Ivy Bridge processors. We’ve also been hearing that Apple could update its MacBook Pros and iMacs with Retina displays for the first time.

Some of the parts referenced in the leak (“D2,” “J11,” “J13,” “J30,” and “J31″) are available in two different forms on the list: better and best. Three models labeled “K5BPLUS” could be Mac Pro desktops.
